Training courses for Clerks, Council Officers and Councillors covering all aspects of council communications, community engagement and GDPR/FOI compliance. Parkinson Partnership deliver a regular programme of online finance courses which are available through KALC.  Courses are normally 90 minutes long and delivered through Zoom.  The cost of each course is £35 + VAT.  There will be no refund if attendance is not cancelled in advance.  There is flexibility to move attendees to another date if you cannot attend your chosen session: Parkinson Partnership Finance Workshops

NALC Training 

NALC online events will feature a blend of leading organisations and policymakers, which will give insight into how national strategy on a given issue is developing. All events will consider the significant issues facing communities and provide a new perspective on them.

All online events will give councillors and clerks from across the country an opportunity to connect, share best practices and learn from one another from the comfort of their home or workplace.

Please read the Booking Conditions below carefully

• Completion of the booking form through Eventbrite is the only method of securing a place for the event. It is also your acceptance for the cost to be invoiced to your Council.

• Should you cancel after the closing date or fail to attend the event the full fee will be payable, however KALC will look at exceptional circumstances on an individual basis. Please contact manager@kentalc.gov.uk.

• We reserve the right to cancel an event at any time due to lack of numbers, weather conditions, illness, or offer an alternative date. In the unusual circumstances of one of our events being postponed or cancelled the Council will receive a full refund or credit to their account against a future event.

• Prior to the event, you will receive a confirmation email from the KALC Team with all the details for the event, joining instructions, how to find us. Please ensure these details are read very carefully and passed onto the delegate attending should the person booking not be attending.
